No, it's a final version, just look at the link.
The date is when the Gecko has been compiled, which does not mean they haven't fixed bugs since that date.

The way you talk looks like you think what's on the Release Notes page is what matters, no, in fact as everyone (...) knows the versions always come first and then they update the page.
The developers don't want much attention (there's no news here for anyone...), can you tell me why? I think it's easy to understand.
And yes, i'm sure this is Final.

So while this technically may be a "flaw" it's not something that can be easily gotten around.
Release notes page sez:
Release Date: November 19, 2007
Version: Firefox 2.0.0.10 RC1
Wait a day or two. It is always like that. They release it to their ftp servers so that the people who want to check if the installer works and such things, can download it. After a day (usually) they release it through Auto-update or on their official site.
Because of the versioning system they use:
M.m.R.B
M - major version
m - minor version
R - revision
B - build
It is only a new build, a minor bugfix release, not something of noteworthy improvement, which is why the revision number wasn't changed.
just manually download it i rarely use the in browser update function as i prefer having a copy of the browser for future installation etc.
No, they built it then Flock made it better, it's streets ahead of firefox IMO.
Flock + Adblock Plus is the best browsing experience and visually far more appealing.
+1......Opera is better than Firefox for what concerns "Memory Usage"....but Firefox is an excellent browser for sure......
