I frequently pull videos off of Youtube using Vixy.net for use on the PSP, which has become quite unreliable in the past week. So this might prove to be an interesting alternative, I'll give it a go and post the results.

It's touch and go on some videos, however it only saves it and doesn't do any type of converting at all. Awesome for those who want a hard copy of Youtube videos on their PC.

Forgot to comment on this. This downloads very quickly and I have the k-lite mega codec pack installed on Vista and Media Player Classic defaults to the .flv extension this uses and plays it back with excellent quality. Much better quality than the downloader itself plays it back with.
