Apple iLife '09 ships from Jan 27th

Apple announced on Monday that iLife '09 will be available from Tuesday, 27th January with major upgrades to iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand for US$79.

iLife '09 made its debut this year at the MacWorld Expo. The iLife '09 Family Pack includes five licenses and will be available for $99. The iLife Up-To-Date upgrade package is available to customers who purchased a Mac on or after January 6, 2009 for a shipping and handling fee of $9.95.

Some of the major changes are:

iPhoto
Flickr and Facebook support, use of faces and places to allow users tag people using facial-recognition and GPS geo-tagging technologies

GarageBand
New amp models for guitar players, Magic GarageBand Jam function which allows users to add instruments, jam along with compositions and record them

iMovie
Expanded timeline, precision editor, automatic video stabilization, reduced "jittery" motion, advanced drag and drop, animated travel maps

There are reports that Best Buy have ignored Apple's date and started selling it on the 26th, although I'm in the UK so I can't confirm.
