Google's latest update for its free iPhone search application has arrived in the AppStore.

Despite a few delays on Apple's end the update was released a few hours ago. Google's latest voice search functionality is very simple to use. To search you just hold the phone to your ear, wait for the beep, and say what you're looking for. That's it.

The application is location aware meaning you can search for "pizza" and it will provide local results based on your location.

It works. If you're looking for them locally, just be sure to say your city/town as well. Make sure safe search is off. You should get listings for local strip clubs, personal ads, etc.

Using it now.

You can ask it pretty much anything, from mathematical calculations, to locations of nearest stores that interest you, to questions about geography, etc.

The accuracy is fairly high. I'm pleasantly surprised.

Not working for me - crashes out to the menu after a few seconds - despite a reinstall/full reboot.
Anyone else get this?

Try a hard reboot. Hold down the power button and the unlock button.
