Originally scheduled to launch in November or December this year, Intel's Nehalem-based Bloomfield processors will now launch in September along with X58 chipsets, sources at motherboard makers have revealed.

However, the sources pointed out that CPUs and motherboards will not officially appear in the channel until early October.

I hear ya, I've been holding off as long as I can. This is good news. I was close to just going with a good x48 mobo and a c2q.

It's going to be at least a year.

The mobile chips aren't slated for release until Q3 2009.

Should we expect HUGE price differences between this socket/procs' vs. the L7A775/C2Q/C2D's??

I mean, I'm sure the mobos' alone will be $300+..

No it wont, you'll still be able to do everything on your computer you used to, just like when I upgraded from my Athlon 64 x2 to a cored 2 duos, i noticed little difference day-to day other that app startup. Windows startup is still like a dog.
