YouTube.com accounted for one-third of the 9.8 billion videos viewed online in the US during the month, according to new research. The total number of videos viewed in January was down slightly from the more than 10.1 billion viewed during a record-breaking December 2007, according to new data comScore.

The market watcher noted that Google Sites once again ranked as the top US video property in January with nearly 3.4 billion videos viewed (34.3 per cent share of videos), gaining 1.7 share points versus the previous month. YouTube.com was found to have accounted for more than 96 per cent of all videos viewed at the property.

I know they're rolling out videos in higher quality as well as the same quality, but I miss Stage6's quality. It was just so awesome compared to YouTube.

Why should this be of any surprise unless you've been living under a rock for the last two years. Youtube has major brand recognition and has been embraced by the mainstream media. It's been the subject of countless commercials, and now is even in politics. You can't go anywhere on the web without hearing about this or that country attempting to block it.

This is just old news just in case maybe your living under a rock then this would be surprising, yet it's not.

like Porn Hub right? o_O having an FLV downloader helps though.

wonder what the ratio is on music video's? Like where else besides places like youtube can one watch music videos. MTV sucks wanted that channel in the 80's and 90's and finally move to a spot where they had it and it sucked.
