Does MS put up a high-res downloadable version of the keynote like Apple does on the iTMS?

You mean like this?

http://events.apple.com.edgesuite.net/0901...vent/index.html

Although that's off Apple's site, not specifically the iTMS.

Insert the word "wait" for the above sentence to make sense

The pronoun 'they' should also be changed to 'Microsoft', for the sake of clarity.

#15 REM2000 on 07 Jan 2009 - 20:51
as long as it's steve sink and not ballmer it should be a good show.

#16 dogmai79 on 07 Jan 2009 - 21:56
Is it going to be posted live and watch from where they are currently or will there be a link available to watch it from the start if you're late? I'm only asking because I don't know if I'll be able to make it on time for the start.
(1 reply) #17 Kevin. on 07 Jan 2009 - 21:58
Damn, would it be funny if Ballmer did the same act again tonight. Can't wait for the keynote speech tonight!

LoL Ballmer looks like he has a little too much fun with this.
#19 Shiranui on 08 Jan 2009 - 00:45
Even if Ballmer just came out, said 'developers' fourteen times and left, it would still be more compelling than Apple's efforts.
#20 GraphiteCube on 08 Jan 2009 - 00:58
I have never watched CES keynotes, this is my first time...

#23 lylesback2 on 08 Jan 2009 - 02:37
You can also discuss this on Neowin IRC, in the #microsoft channel
#24 PGHammer on 08 Jan 2009 - 02:58
Yeowch! It's (Windows 7 beta) hitting the public (as in the rest of us) *Friday*. So, at most, you only need wait *two days*.

Also, Windows Live Essentials launches *now*. (It's even Windows 7 beta ready.)

Windows Live Search even arrives for all VZW phones (even those NOT running Windows Mobile, which is most of VZW's phones).

Ok so we all have win 7. wooptie doo. Only interesting news would have been if the beta was something other than 7000 personally.

I find it awesome that you can play music from the PC onto the XBox by sending it to the xbox instead of searching for it from the xbox.
#28 mentalindustries on 08 Jan 2009 - 03:51
What other keynotes are going to be streamed?
(1 reply) #29 +warwagon on 08 Jan 2009 - 03:55
First off the chick showing off windows 7 wouldn't not have been up their if she wasn't attractive and if she didn't sound hot.

Second the group tripod looked like they belonged more at a linux keynote than a windows one.
#29.1 simon360 on 08 Jan 2009 - 03:58
They single handedly killed the "I'm a PC" campaign.
#30 LTD on 08 Jan 2009 - 03:56

#31 +KoL on 08 Jan 2009 - 04:00

Well, MS tries a bit too hard to be cool. What are ya gonna do.

At least you've all got a Beta to play with and some other goodies.

We're still waiting for talk of Snow Leopard and basically everything else.
#33.1 Steven77 on 08 Jan 2009 - 04:06
What other goodies...

and Snow Leapord?

Yeah, Ballmer was gonna talk about Snow Leopard. :-P

I love how LTD slipped the apple link into this thread (up a few posts) that's not about Apple, but somehow... he's trying to distract from the FACT that Windows 7 will be much more successful than the next Apple OS.

"No. Here guys... look... we're still around. Look! Snow Leopard! See?"

I will agree that MS does try too hard to be cool, when... they're really not. I mean really. See LTD, we can agree on some things. :-)
#34 +KoL on 08 Jan 2009 - 04:07
Yeah that was the only thing I liked, beta this Friday. Ahh and Live on Thursday.
