Stardock announced its upcoming political strategy game today. The Political Machine is a single player or multiplayer strategy game in which players take on the roll of campaign manager for a US Presidential candidate.

Players must campaign across the country on real life issues in which the states accurately reflect the current demographic information of the real world. Raise money, take out ads, use political operatives, deal with political activists, win endorsements and even go on cable TV shows like "The O'Maley Factor" and "Berry King".

The game ends on election day as the nation decides who has won and who has lost.

The game is scheduled to go into wide beta in May with a June release date.
