Ramping up its springtime sales promotion, Sony Computer Entertainment today announced a series of bundle deals and limited-edition releases for the Japanese market. A pair of popular limited-edition PlayStation 2 colors are coming back, and Japanese gamers will be receiving a pair of low-priced incentives to bring their PS2s online.
This spring's two limited-edition PS2 colors aren't quite brand-new. The shiny pink "Sakura" console dates back to last spring, when it was released in the company of two other springtime pastels, while the flat "Ceramic White" PS2 came out last fall as part of a bundle with Sony's Gran Turismo 4 Prologue. Both will be available as individual releases on March 25, however, and for a lower price than before -- 19,800 yen, or about $180 for the console and a controller. Matching vertical stands will be sold separately.
